The context · February 2025
Anthropic introduced Claude 3.7 Sonnet and an early preview of Claude Code in February 2025, connecting reasoning models more closely to day-to-day software development. [1]
A proposed project brief inspired by the period’s developments. This is an idea for exploration, not an announced Sansa product, an approved roadmap or a claim of completed client work.
Start with maintenance
Select a handful of isolated bugs or small dependency clean-ups from an existing backlog. A maintainer should describe the expected behaviour and identify the relevant checks. Keep production credentials and deployment permissions outside the assistant’s environment.
Make the handover visible
Ask the assistant to produce a focused patch and explain how it was checked. Assign a human reviewer who records whether the change is understandable, correct and proportionate. Compare similar work completed through the team’s normal process, acknowledging that task difficulty will vary.
Agree what happens next
The pilot would deliver accepted patches, a record of review effort and a short working agreement for future use. Expand only into task types where reviewers see a clear benefit. If explanations are weak or changes routinely exceed their scope, improve the workflow before increasing access or throughput.
